LEGO toys make brilliant gifts for children because not only do they provide wonderful entertainment and hours of fun, but they also stimulate creativity and develop logic skills. Parents can thus rest assured that giving their child the latest LEGO set is not only going to put a smile on the kid's face, but will also be educational and contribute to the overall development of their child. One of LEGO's latest releases is the LEGO Ninjago Fire Temple which will no doubt ensure that both adults and children are kept enthralled for hours.

I love dragons, so I was particularly excited to see that the LEGO Ninjago Fire Temple set includes a rather wonderful red Fire Dragon. Apparently this beast goes by the name of "Flame" - that's according to the Ninjago "Return to the fire temple" mini-movie on their website. The Ninjago Fire Temple Dragon is red and gold and makes a dramatic addition to the whole set. LEGO have made it so that the Dragon can swish his tail from one side to another, sweeping away any of the evil enemy. On top of this you have the ability to move the legs and wings of the Dragon so you can make him fly across the sky over your Ninjago Fire Temple. The Dragon is a dramatic guardian of the temple. The set is designed so that there is a round window at the top to enable the Dragon to poke his head through and you can also split the temple into two separate parts, sliding each away and revealing the Fire Dragon.

However, the Dragon is not the only character of importance in the Ninjago Fire Temple set. There are 7 beautifully detailed minifigures as well. These include the good guys: the white ninja Zane; Sensei Wu - wearing a black robe and a staff; the warrior Kai and his sister Nya. The bad guys include: the evil Lord Garmadon who wants to steal the Sword of Fire from the Fire Temple and Kruncha and Samukai, skeleton warriors armed with bone axes and chains.

The Ninjago Fire Temple itself is architecturally delightful and has gorgeous little details all over it. These all add to an authentically Japanese feel. There are two separate platforms included which can sit on each side of the temple. These include trees and a sword cage on one side and a Japanese drum on the other side. Other details are remarkable: for example the prints of Dragons in the window screens, lanterns, dragon statues, printed Japanese calligraphy at the top of the stairs and flame effects elaborate the building corners. You can also move the front stairs and the fire at the front of the temple. The most ingenious part of the Ninjago Fire Temple however is that by pushing the fire part at the front of the temple the fire temple springs open! This looks incredible.

You simply won't make a mistake getting hold of this amazing LEGO set. It will appeal to the whole family and provide wonderful entertainment for everyone.
